- Do students understand fractions that are equal to 1?
- Can they use fractions to express equally divided quantities and the relationship between a part and the whole?
- Do students understand the definitions of proper fraction, improper fraction, and mixed number? Can they distinguish them?
- Can they convert improper fractions to mixed numbers, and mixed numbers to improper fractions?
- Can they compare the size of improper fractions and mixed numbers with same denominator?
- Can they understand the relationship of equal quantities divided in different ways and express the relationship as equivalent fractions?
- Can they create equivalent fractions?
