A. Evaluation Perspectives

  1. Do students understand fractions that are equal to 1?
  2. Can they use fractions to express equally divided quantities and the relationship between a part and the whole?
  3. Do students understand the definitions of proper fraction, improper fraction, and mixed number? Can they distinguish them?
  4. Can they convert improper fractions to mixed numbers, and mixed numbers to improper fractions?
  5. Can they compare the size of improper fractions and mixed numbers with same denominator?
  6. Can they understand the relationship of equal quantities divided in different ways and express the relationship as equivalent fractions?
  7. Can they create equivalent fractions?
